Propose an Exhibition for the Ursuline Hall Gallery

The Ursuline Hall Gallery features new work by regional artists. We invite proposals to exhibit in this gallery, which is situated on the historic campus and receives high traffic. The space accommodates approximately 20 two-dimensional or wall-mounted works. We provide coordination, installation, insurance, publicity, sales support, and an opening reception.

Submissions are reviewed twice yearly, with deadlines of December 15th and June 15th.  Receipt of exhibition proposals will be confirmed by email and notification will be mailed by January 31st or July 30th.

Please send proposals (letter, resume, CD of images with checklist) by mail to Director of Exhibitions, Southwest School of Art, 300 Augusta, San Antonio, TX 78205.

Fiesta Arts Fair

Since 1973, the Fiesta Arts Fair has selected an average of 120 artists from across the nation, whose work is reviewed by a panel of qualified jurists. Artists display and sell works in all media. The application deadline is mid-November, and is described in full on the Fiesta Arts Fair Information for Artists pages.

Dia de los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos (“Day of the Dead”) is celebrated annually at the Southwest School of Art with La Ofrenda, an installation on the historic Ursuline Campus. We annually invite an artist to be the Lead Artist for this significant cultural event. The art school will provide coordination, publicity, and a small stipend. Artists with a connection to the school community are especially encouraged to apply. Please send submissions by mail to Director of Exhibitions, Southwest School of Art, 300 Augusta, San Antonio, TX 78205.
