Ceramics was one of the first media taught at the Southwest School of Art, and the Ceramics Department has a long-running commitment to working with adult students — who number nearly 500 a year — within a positive, creative, community atmosphere. You can find classes on hand-building, wheel-throwing, raku, glazing, digital embellishments and much more, taught by faculty as well as at frequent workshops by visiting artists.
