On March 31, 2012 and April 7, 2012, SSA will offer a morning workshop designed to help students develop their portfolio for submission to college art programs. The focus will be on preparing students to meet the demands of the college admission process in terms of a portfolio, including, for instance, discussion of observational drawing, a key proficiency that many top art schools look for.
The workshops will be taught by Vincent Colvin, a former senior admissions counselor at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art. Materials are included, and students are encouraged to bring a portfolio of current work for feedback and direction.
