A national company launched its San Antonio operations with a party here, saying “Our guests will find the unique essence of San Antonio here — its history, its beauty.” The site is on both the National and the Texas Registers of Historic Places, and was recently given the highest award by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Along with the Alamo and the San Fernando Cathedral, it is considered one of San Antonio’s signature historic sites.
