Cold wax is a process-oriented medium that allows for experimentation and discovery, and is the perfect medium for creating work that expresses the artist's unique creative voice. Using cold wax medium, oil paints and mixed media, this workshop offers students an opportunity to learn oil painting without a brush. Once the basic concepts are presented, Belto will demonstrate a variety of tools, approaches, and mixed media applications to cold wax-including layering and excavating the surface, mark making, and printing to develop surface history.
