Teen Studio Intensive

The High School Teen Studio Intensive program is designed for talented rising 9th through 12th grade students with a strong interest in the visual arts. Students who are accepted into the high school program commit to meet twice a week after school for the entire academic school year. During the program, they have the opportunity to develop their art-making skills through intense professional instruction in a serious learning environment. The focus is on foundations in several media and attainment of a variety of art skills, both conceptual and visual. This skills-based approach is designed to equip the young artists with a variety of tactics to use when approaching their own private practice and expressive life. Each year Teen Studio Intensive participants plan and install at least one group exhibition in a public space. Thanks to the support of our generous donors, Teen Studio Intensive is a low-cost program. Participants are asked to pay an annual fee towards the cost of materials. Interested students must complete the application process to be considered for acceptance. Click here for more information and to apply.

A sliding scale fee may be offered if the cost of the program is a barrier to participation.
