DR. EDWARD DUPUY • DEAN
Edward J. Dupuy has worked in a variety of positions in higher education, most recently as Dean of Graduate Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design and before that as Provost and Academic Vice President at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT. He is the author of Autobiography in Walker Percy, published by LSU press. He earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in English from LSU in Baton Rouge, and a B.A. from Saint Joseph Seminary College. He has published several articles and reviews on southern writers, religion and literature, and autobiographical approaches to fiction. He is a sometimes poet and golfer. He and his wife, Jan, are the parents of three college-aged children, and they are happy to be living in San Antonio. Edward's CV is available HERE.
EDWARD CONROY• DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Prior to joining the SSA staff in 1998 as Development Director, Ed Conroy served as Director of Advancement for the San Antonio Symphony. A bilingual fourth-generation San Antonian, he is a published author and former arts journalist for the San Antonio Express-News. He is the proud father of a daughter and stepdaughter.
STEPHEN STRAPPLE • DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Prior to assuming his duties in 2002 as the Director of Operations at the SSA, Steve Strapple served over 20 years in the United States Air Force, retiring from active duty in 2001. He has significant professional experience in the civil engineering and educational fields. He holds undergraduate degrees in mechanical, electrical and training technologies and occupational education. In addition to serving as a Director at the SSA, Steve has continued to hone his professional skills by teaching classes for the past 15 years in the electrical trades program at a local junior college.
