Visit The Campus

Come and experience for yourself just a little of what makes Southwest School of Art such an amazing place...and feel free to bring the family.  In addition to personal and self-guided tours of our beautiful campus and state-of-the-art facilities, we also host a number of engaging and informative events throughout the year.

Personal Tours

Take a walk with us and get a close-up look at our amazing facilities and meet some members of our BFA faculty and student body.  Along the way, we’ll do our best to help you understand what makes Southwest School of Art such a special place and a great choice to launch your career as a professional artist!

Informal and welcoming, our open houses provide a great opportunity to hear more about our BFA program and get answers to any questions you may have.  You'll get great information about our curriculum, faculty, facilities, admissions criteria and scholarship opportunities and we'll take you on a tour of our campus and let you hear from members of our staff, faculty and student body.

Exhibitions

Every year, we host more than a dozen curated exhibitions by prominent local, regional and national artists, which provides a first-hand opportunity to see the caliber of artists that we bring to our campus.  All exhibitions at SSA are free and open to the public.

Artist Talks and Lectures

We often bring local, regional and nationally known artists to campus to share their thoughts about art, life and how they approach their work. Typically, we also hold a private session, just for our BFA students.

Working Artist Panel

Join Southwest School of Art for an informative panel discussion to hear several working artists share insights about their varied paths to successful careers in the visual arts. You'll learn how the artists chose their career path, what types of challenges they've overcome along the way and what has helped them to become successful artists. A Q&A session will immediately follow the panel discussion.
