9553 | Basic Video Editing & Animation
This ten-session course will explore basic video editing and animation utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro CC and After Effects CC. Students will learn to edit their own videos and post them online. Cameras, filming, lighting, video editing, filters, color correction, green screen, chroma keying, titles, effects, and sound editing will be covered. To develop an individual approach to video, a wide variety of media including historical and contemporary examples of experimental film, video, animation, music videos, and YouTube content will be shown. Students will need to use their own digital video cameras (this can include smart phones) and have some basic experience with computers.

9823 | Stop Motion Animation
Ever wanted to explore animation? This class will introduce stop motion animation and cover all aspects of the process, including animation of objects through photography, building flexible armatures and sets, lighting and shadow, shooting with a green screen, editing stop motion sequences in Adobe Premiere Pro, and using video filters and extended animation techniques in AdobeĀ® After Effects. Create stop motion videos and post them on the internet. Contemporary and historical examples will also be discussed to help shape a personal voice within the medium. Prerequisite: Some basic experience with digital cameras is necessary (this can include smart phone cameras as well) and basic computer skills. A materials list will be discussed the first class. Open to students age 14 and above.

9826 | Digital Fabrication
The objective of this course is to familiarize students with the digital fabrication process and add a powerful technology skill set. Digital fabrication is not an end in itself, but is intended to augment the artist's skills. Moldmakers, printmakers, sculptors, and wood workers can all benefit from understanding and using, digital fabrication and CNC router. Students take original design ideas, refine them in a vector-based software program, then learn to toolpath and fabricate objects using Vectrics processing software and a Shopbot CNC router. Prerequisite: Basic computer literacy is required.
