Exhibit at SSA
Ursuline Hall Gallery
The Ursuline Hall Gallery features new work by regional artists. We invite proposals to exhibit in this gallery, which is situated on the historic campus and receives high traffic. The space accommodates approximately 20 two-dimensional or wall-mounted works. We provide coordination, installation, insurance, publicity, sales support, and an opening reception.
Submissions are reviewed twice yearly, with deadlines of December 15 and June 15. Receipt of exhibition proposals will be confirmed by email and notification will be mailed by January 31 or July 30. Particular consideration will be given to artists with a connection to the SSA community.
Please send your proposal (letter, resume, CD of images with checklist) by mail to Director of Exhibitions, Southwest School of Art, 300 Augusta, San Antonio, TX 78205.
Russell Hill Rogers Galleries
The school’s two largest galleries, located on the Navarro Campus, feature exhibitions by prominent regional, national and international artists. While we will accept proposals to exhibit in these galleries, we typically work with invited artists. Consequently, we can’t respond as promptly, or as fully, as we’d like to for unsolicited proposals. Materials will not be returned.
Dia de los Muertos
Dia de los Muertos (“Day of the Dead”) is celebrated annually at the Southwest School of Art with La Ofrenda, an installation at the art school. We annually invite an artist to be the Lead Artist for this significant cultural event. We provide coordination, publicity, and a small stipend. Artists with a connection to the school community are especially encouraged to apply. Please send your proposal by mail to Director of Exhibitions, Southwest School of Art, 300 Augusta, San Antonio, TX 78205.
